Welcome to the Internet Service of PTTK Bialowieza !

PTTK - Polish Tourist Country - Lovers' Society is a NON - PROFIT organization. It is one of the oldest tourist societies in Europe. It was created by the union of Polish Tatry Society (1873) and Polish Country Lovers Society (1906).

PTTK Bialowieza is an organization that has been functioning for 50 years in Bialowieza Forest .

We provide you with comprehensive and experienced guides.

The facilities of Bialowieza National Park can be visited only with licensed guides , who you can hire in our office in Bialowieza .

“The Life of Primeval Forest” trip .

The Białowieża National Park protects the last fragment of primeval Europe lowland forest situated in mixed deciduous and deciduous forest zone. In the Strict Protection area in the Orłówka Protective District you can see old European landscape, because that forest used to be very common in the past. This unit of Białowieża National Park is accessible only with a licensed guide. If you want to see that incredible nature, contact PTTK office in Bialowieza ! This trip starts and finishes in front of beautiful Palace Park. We encourage you to take that trip at sunset, when birds and animals are the most active. What you can see during 3 hours “Standard trip” (8 kilometers on feet) :

• Guide services in foreign language for “The Life of Primeval Forest-trip” (English, German, Spanish, Italian, French, Russian) around the Strict Nature Reserve ( up to 3 hours ) = 195 PLN/group + ticket’s price
• Price of the ticket to Białowieża National Park (“The Life of Primeval Forest-trip”- 8 kilometers , 3 hours ) : Adults = 6 PLN Children = 3 PLN

You can also take that trip by carriage or sledges; than to the above cost you must add :

• Renting a carriage/ sledge for max. 4 persons to go to the Strict Nature Reserve of the BNP ( Bialowieza National Park ) ( up to 3 hours ) = 160 PLN

We also offer another version of that trip, expanded by visiting the Palace Park and Białowieża National Park’s Museum.

• In this case, a tour together with 3 hour trip to Strict Nature Reserve will take 5 hours, and the cost of a guide is 325 PLN.
• Entrance tickets for the expanded trip cost : Adults = 18 PLN Children = 11 PLN

“The Heart of the Forest” trip.

We have also a possibility of organising a 6 hours or longer kind of trips, to show you more interesting places of the oldest unit of BPN, for example: the valley of Narewka river; the beauty of Orłówka river situated in the heart of the forest with the results of works of beavers; the highest ash tree in Europe. Longer time trips are organised in small groups of people (1 up to 6), what gives you a bigger chance to observe more species of animals in their natural habitat ! This trip is recommended to be taken very early, as it gives a higher opportunity of observing a bigger number of rare species of birds. You have to make reservations for this trip a few days before you want it to take place, as an additional permission given by the Director of the Bialowieża National Park is required.

What you can see during 6 hours “Special trip” (18 kilometers on foot) :

• Guide services in foreign language for “The Heart of the Forest trip" (English, German, Spanish, Italian, French, Russian) around the Strict Nature Reserve ( up to 6 hours ) = 390 PLN/group + ticket’s price
• Price of the ticket Białowieża National Park (“Special trip” - 18 kilometers , 6 hours ) : 21 PLN

This trip also can be taken by carriage or sledges. In this case, the cost will be as follows:

• Renting a carriage/ sledge for max. 4 persons to go to the Strict Nature Reserve of the BNP ( Bialowieza National Park ) ( up to 6 hours ) = 360 PLN

Of course it is not easy to see animals in the forest, because of large numbers of various species living in the Bialowieża National Park… they are very shy. It is a typical behaviour of the inhabitants of the natural forest.
Each trip to the same forest at various times looks completely different. We never know what we will see in the wilderness. Very well visible dynamism of seasons presents spectacular changes of the landscape:

“Białowieskie Vademecum” trip

We kindly invite You to take a guided trip to the Bialowieza National Park’s Museum, where you can admire the exhibits showing the amazing beauty of primeval forest, and than for a walk through the forest to the Bisons’ Reserve, where apart from bisons, you can see tarpans, deers, wolves, lynxes, elks, wild boars, and roe deers. One of the main attractions is a raised by people hybrid of a bison and a breeding cattle. During this trip you can learn about different parts of forests, and the route leads you through one of the most interesting forest paths, called “Bison’s Ribs”. In Bisons’ Reserve you can choose from wide selection of souvenirs, handicraft, and superb kinds of honey.

• Price of the ticket to the Forest Museum & Bison Reserve (“Bialowieskie Vademecum trip” - 8 kilometers , 6 hours ) : Adults = 20 PLN Children = 12PLN

You can also take that trip by carriage or sledges; than to the above cost you must add :

• Renting a carriage/ sledge for max. 4 persons to go to the Bison Reserve of the BNP ( Bialowieza National Park ) ( up to 3 hours ) = 160 PLN

„Beavers’ Kingdom” trip

For the lovers of beavers, we can offer a hike with a guide through the northern part of the Bialowieza Forest. The main attraction of this trip is a possibility of watching beavers in their natural habitat. The beavers have created their kingdom on one of the forest’s rivers. There, you can see dams, lodges, and flooded parts of the forest. There is of course a great chance of seeing other animals like deers, roe deers, and wild boars. The best time to take pictures of this skittish animals is at dawn or at dusk and because of that we recommend you to take with you a high-quality photographic equipment. We also need you to wear non-rustling and camouflage clothing. This trip is for groups up to 8 people.

• Guide services in foreign language for “Bobrowe Królestwo” (English, German, Spanish, Italian, French, Russian- up to 6 hours , 16 km ) = 390 PLN/group

What you can see during “...... trip” (16 kilometers on foot) :

The route of the trip starts a dozen or so kilometers from Białowieża, and if you do not have your own car, you will also have to pay for the transport (depending on the number of people and the kind of rented vehicle).

It is a typical behaviour of the inhabitants of the natural forest. Each trip to the same forest at various times looks completely different. We never know what we will see in the wilderness.

„Tête-à-tête with Bison” trip

Having been in Białowieża and not having seen the Bisons in their natural habitat is like having been in Rome and not having seen the Pope! We invite you to take a trip to look for Bisons in their natural environment. Our experienced guides know the customs of bisons and know how to find them in the Forest. Bison, the biggest European mammal is not afraid of people, however, a non-rustling and camouflage clothing is recommended. For such a trip you should leave very early, so that you can be in the places of Bisons’ stay before the sunset. We also inform you that the highest chance of observing Bisons is in Winter. The trip is to be taken in groups not bigger than 8 people.

• Guide service around the Strict Nature Reserve ( up to 3 hours ) = 195 PLN ( every next started hour 65 PLN )
• Guide to the Museum of Bialowieza National Park, including entrance to the tower and temporal exhibition = 195 PLN

Carriages :

• Renting a carriage/ sledge for max. 4 persons to go to the Strict Nature Reserve of the BNP ( Bialowieza National Park ) ( up to 3 hours ) = 160 PLN
• Renting a carriage/ sledge for max. 4 persons to tour the Bisons’ Reserve and The Trail of the Royal and Great Lithuanian Princes' Oaks ( up to 3 hours ) = 160 PLN ( every next started hour = 54 PLN )

Organisation of bonfires ( including sticks ) :

• Bonfire up to 3 hours = 350 PLN
• Bonfire for school groups up to 1,5 hour = 200 PLN
• Delivery of food and service during the bonfire up to 3 hours = 300 PLN (every next started hour = 100 PLN)
• Accordionist (up to 3 hours) = 400 PLN

Notice :

• prices contain tax
• apart form above-mentioned services, guests are obliged to buy entrance tickets to the Museum of Bialowieza National Park, the Bisons’ Reserve and the Strict Nature Reserve at the BNP cash-desks.

Museum of BNP:

• Adults = 12 PLN
• Children = 8 PLN

Bisons’ Reserve:

• Adults = 8 PLN
• Children = 4 PLN

Strict Nature Reserve:

• Adults = 6 PLN
• Children = 3 PLN

Apart from the above-mentioned ticket prices, BNP also collects charges for photographing and consent for entrancing the facilities of Bialowieza National Park on bikes or in carriages/ sledges.
